Transparency of Accounts

To back up our policy of transparency of information we also include a financial breakdown. As a not-for-profit organisation we have a huge advantage over profit maximising companies to be transparent. Clearly we are trying to undercut commercial operations in order to pass on any profits in donations to the Cambodian Rural Development Team (CRDT). We are aiming at a sector in the market that would prefer to support this goal. We know we can teach you to teach as well as anybody and think that you’d prefer profits to go to a good cause.

Accounts

The following accounts were presented to The Board of Directors this month (December 2009). Figures are approximate but give the general idea. CamTEFL has donated of $2000 to CRDT. The remaining profit was used to pay ongoing costs prior to the next course and we reserve the right to make operational decisions to ensure the long term financial viability of the project.

Note: CamTEFL was created in September 2007 but the first course ran from March 2008.

There are no share holders to pay, the board of directors ( all Cambodian ) take no wages, no owners exist to take dividends and there is no profit-maximising ethos. CamTEFL is a fund raising enterprise for The Cambodian Rural Develpoment Team which has been a registered local NGO since 2001 and as such is subject to rigourous and independent financial audit.
